Lyrics
OUR MAJESTIC MESSENGER - Words and Music by WANITA
Crammed in the back seat all us kids staring out the window
We’re not lookin’ for nothing special, we’re just watchin’ the time go
Then one of us spotted a Brolga, its magnificence made us all sit upright
Then dad said “settle down you lot” noses fogging up the glass just marvelling at the sight.
Little things like this we reminisced during those final days
And it’s little things like this we now cherish, as life deals its cruel but wondrous ways.
We again noticed that Brolga still transfixed on its form.
In the darkest hours of our lives, two splendid creatures to mark that morn.
Maybe the Brolga could even be a messenger that liaises with the hereafter
Surely in all that majestic splendour he can fly right up to our Father.
Little things like this we reminisced during those final days
And it’s little things like this we now cherish as life deals it’s cruel but wondrous ways.
Little things like this we reminisced during those final days
And it’s little things like this we now cherish as life deals it’s cruel but wondrous ways.
…Crammed in the back seat all us kids staring out the window….
